Deleting and Recovering Documents

Documents in QuicklySign can be deleted, with the option to recover them within a limited timeframe depending on where they were deleted. This helps manage your workspace while ensuring important documents can still be retrieved if needed.


Requirements

  • Access to QuicklySign home screen or document packs

  • Enterprise users: check with your administrator for account-specific retention and deletion policies


Instructions

Deleting a Document

  1. Navigate to the document on the home screen or within a document pack.

  2. Select Delete.

Important:

  • Only documents deleted from the home screen can be recovered.

  • Documents deleted from within a pack are permanently removed and cannot be restored.

Recovering a Deleted Document

  1. Navigate to the Recycle Bin at the top-right of the screen.

  2. Locate the document within 30 days of deletion.

  3. Select Restore to recover the document.

Note:

  • Documents deleted over 30 days ago are permanently cleared.

  • If recovering a document that was Awaiting Signatures, you must resend it to the relevant signers as previous signing links are invalidated.

QuicklySign Enterprise Users

  • Retention and deletion policies may differ for Enterprise accounts.

  • Check with your administrator for your account-specific settings, which can be configured to align with your organisation’s data security requirements.


Expected Outcome

Documents deleted from the home screen can be restored within 30 days via the Recycle Bin. Documents deleted from within a pack are permanently removed. Resent documents will require new signing links if they were previously awaiting signatures.


FAQs

Can I recover a document deleted from within a pack?
No. Only documents deleted from the home screen can be recovered.

How long do I have to recover a deleted document?
Deleted documents remain in the Recycle Bin for 30 days. After that, they are permanently cleared.

Where do I find the Recycle Bin?
It is accessible from the top-right of the screen.

What happens to a document that was awaiting signatures when deleted?
The document can be recovered from the Recycle Bin, but previous signing links are invalidated. You must resend it to continue the signing process.

Will deleting a document notify my signers?
No. Signers are not automatically notified. All links for deleted documents are invalidated.

I'm on an Enterprise plan – do the same rules apply?
Not necessarily. Enterprise accounts may have different retention and deletion settings. Check with your administrator for details.
