Document Verification

Written by Thandolwethu Mbatha

Documents signed through QuicklySign include an audit trail detailing all activity, from upload to signature completion. Each document is also cryptographically signed with an Adobe trusted certificate and includes a QuicklySign online verification link to confirm integrity and detect modifications.

Requirements

  • Signed documents from 1 January 2022 onwards include signature certificates

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF viewer capable of displaying signature panels

  • Internet access to use the online verification link

Verifying a QuicklySign Document

  1. Open the signed document in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  2. Check the Signature Panel at the top; it should indicate “signed and all signatures are valid” (available for documents signed from 1 Jan 2022).

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the document and locate the Online Verification link.

  4. Click the link, which will open a browser page prompting you to upload the document.

  5. Click Upload Document, browse to the document, and select Open.

  6. If the document is authentic, the page will display “Verified”, confirming it matches the original.

  • The document has been altered after signing

  • The uploaded document is different from the one linked in the verification URL

Indicators of failure:

  • No Signature Panel appears in Adobe Reader

  • The online verification page displays “Verification failed”
