Lock and Unlock Fields allows admins to secure field placement within templates so that users cannot accidentally move, resize, or delete configured fields. This ensures consistency across documents and reduces errors during template usage. Fields remain editable for prepopulation but their structure is protected once locked.
Requirements
Access to the Lock/Unlock feature must be requested via the in-app chat
No additional charge applies for enabling this feature
Admin or template editing permissions required to configure templates
Instructions
Navigate to Templates and Edit (View) the template you want to configure.
Place all required fields in the correct positions on the document.
Once field placement is complete, click the lock icon in the toolbar.
(Lock feature must be enabled via in-app chat if not visible)
Save the template.
When the template is used, all fields will appear locked by default.
Users with permission can unlock fields if changes are required.
