Enhancing document quality allows you to magnify documents containing small text, making them easier to read during setup and signing. The selected magnification is retained throughout the signing process and applied to the document and its fields.
You may magnify individual documents within a document pack using 100% (default), 125%, 150%, or 200%. The 125% and 150% options should resolve most readability issues.
Important
Select the required magnification before placing fields on the document.
Changing the magnification after fields have been placed will resize the fields relative to the selected magnification. Although the fields will remain aligned with their intended locations, their displayed and final sizes will change.

The Enhance Document Quality permission enabled for your account.

Instructions
1. Open the Document Options
Open the document pack in setup.
Click the tab name of the document you want to enhance.
Locate the Enhance document quality section in the dropdown menu.
2. Select the Magnification
Select one of the available options:
Magnify 100% (Default)
Magnify 125%
Magnify 150%
Magnify 200%
We recommend starting with 125% or 150%, as these options should resolve most readability issues.
The selected magnification is saved immediately.
3. Review the Document
Confirm that the document text is clear and readable.
The selected magnification applies to the entire document and cannot be configured for individual pages.
Each document within a document pack can have its own magnification.
You may need to scroll horizontally while setting up a magnified document.
4. Place the Fields
Add and configure the required fields after selecting the correct magnification.
We recommend selecting the magnification before placing fields.
Changing the magnification after fields have been placed will resize the fields relative to the selected magnification.
The fields will remain aligned with their intended locations.
5. Send the Document for Signing
Continue with the normal document setup and sending process.
The document will retain the selected magnification when opened by the signatory.
Magnification does not change the document order or signing flow.
The signatory can still use their browser’s standard zoom controls.
Expected Outcome
The selected document is displayed at the chosen magnification during setup and signing, making small text easier to read.
Each document within a document pack can use a different magnification. Fields remain aligned with the document and retain their relative size and position in the completed PDF.

Can I apply a different magnification to each document in a document pack?
Yes. Each document within a document pack can have its own magnification setting.
Can I apply magnification to only one page?
No. The selected magnification applies to the entire document and cannot be configured separately for individual pages.
Should I select the magnification before adding fields?

What happens to fields that have already been added?

Does magnification affect the completed PDF?
Magnification is applied during setup and signing. The document text and fields will retain their relative size and positioning in the completed PDF.
Can I change the magnification after sending the document?
The magnification is locked once the document has been sent for signatures.
To change it, revert the document pack to setup, select the new magnification, and send it for signatures again.
Can the signatory zoom in or out?
Yes. The document will retain the magnification selected during setup, but the signatory can still use their browser’s standard zoom controls.
Does magnification affect the signing order?
No. Magnification does not affect the signing order or cause a magnified document to be presented first.
Does the feature work on mobile devices?
Yes. The selected magnification also applies when the document is opened on a mobile device.
Does the magnification carry over when using a template?
Yes. If a document within a template has a magnification applied, the setting will carry over when the template is used to create a document pack.
Why can I not see the Enhance Document Quality options?
The feature may not be enabled for your user account.
