Signer Notes allow users and signers to add comments directly on documents during setup or signing. This feature enables clear communication, contextual feedback, and collaboration without modifying the actual document content.
Signer Notes operate separately from text fields and are intended for comments or communication rather than capturing information as part of the signed document.
Requirements
Signer Notes must be enabled during document setup.

Public vs Private Notes
Public Notes: Visible on the final signed document for all parties.
The sender and each signer can choose whether their notes appear publicly in the final document by enabling the “Show in final document” toggle.
If the toggle is disabled, the note will remain private and will not appear in the final document.

Private Notes: Visible only to the sender within their QuicklySign account.
Viewing Notes on the Final Document
Public notes appear at the end of the document, just before the audit trail.
Private notes remain visible only to the sender within their QuicklySign account.
Important Considerations
Notes do not trigger real-time notifications.
If immediate feedback is required, signers can either:
Decline the document and provide feedback, or
Contact the sender directly.
Signers in a workflow can see public notes left by previous signers.
Expected Outcome
Signer Notes provide a way for senders and signers to add contextual comments directly on the document. Notes improve clarity but do not trigger in-app notifications in real time. They allow collaboration and feedback to be captured within the document without interrupting the signing workflow.
FAQs
Can the sender add notes or enable the functionality after the document has been sent?
No. The sender can only add notes during the document setup stage. If signers need to add their own notes, the Notes feature must also be enabled for them during setup.
Do public notes appear in the PDF copy?
Yes. Public notes are included at the end of the final PDF.
Are private notes visible to other signers?
No. Private notes are only visible to the sender.
