How to Collect Supporting Documents from Signers

Allow your signers to provide supporting documents such as ID Copies, Proof of income/payment etc.

Written by Nirmal Fakir

Allow your signers to provide supporting documents such as ID copies, proof of income, or payment receipts. This can be done using the File or Image upload fields when setting up your document.

File Upload Field

The File field allows signers to upload documents in various formats including PDFs, Word, Excel, images, and more.

  • Add the File field to your document during setup.

  • Provide a clear description in the File to upload field so signers know what is required.

  • Mark the field as Required if the document must be uploaded before submission.

  • Multiple File fields can be added to a single document.

Important Notes:

  • Only one document per File field can be uploaded. Please plan accordingly.

  • Filetypes not allowed: executables, installers, batch files.

  • Maximum file size per upload: <30MB.

  • Final attachments to be returned to Sender Only upon completion in Final Email

Image Upload Field

The Image field allows signers to embed images directly into the document.

  • Only image formats are allowed.

  • Ensure sufficient space is provided for the image so it displays clearly in the document.

Expected Outcome

Signers can provide all necessary supporting documentation as part of the signing process. Required uploads prevent document submission until completed.
