Can I send a document via WhatsApp/SMS?
Yes, you may. This can be done by either:
• Generating a separate signing link after delivering via email
• Delivering directly via WhatsApp/SMS* (Not compliant within the Financial/ Legal Sector)
*Additional charges apply for Direct WhatsApp/SMS sending (kindly contact solutions@quicklysign.com)
Option 1: Generating a separate signing link after delivering via email
Send the document using the standard method (email and mobile number). Once sent, you can generate a unique signing link and manually share it with the recipient via WhatsApp, direct email (e.g., Outlook), or any other messaging platform.
Note: The signer will still be required to enter a One Time Pin for security purposes.
- After sending the document you will be redirected to the home screen (Document list)
- Click on the required document to access it.
- Click Actions > Generate Signing Link
- You will then be able to copy the link and paste it via a Chat Service (WhatsApp etc) or in a Direct Email from your Outlook account
Option 2: Delivering directly via WhatsApp/SMS
This functionality allows you to deliver a signing request directly via SMS or WhatsApp, without requiring an email address. It is configurable per signer, you can specify which signers should receive the document and which delivery method to use during setup.
However, please be aware that this method is not compliant for use in the financial sector or for legal documents, as it does not meet 2-factor authentication requirements.
*Please note: Additional charges apply for direct WhatsApp/SMS delivery. Notifications are sent directly from QuicklySign’s WhatsApp account and can be customized for Enterprise plans.
