In-person signing
In-person signing allows you to:
- Sign a document where you are the only signer and
- have a signer electronically sign a document in person, without having to send them a signature request link.
Signing a document where you're the only signer
- Create your document, but instead of clicking 'Request Signatures' at the end of your setup, click 'Sign in-person' on the dropdown.
- Click 'Sign Now' next to your name.
- When you click 'Sign Now', a one-time pin (OTP) will be automatically sent to your email address (or mobile number if OTPs were set as required) - we suggest mobile OTPs as two-factor authentication is more secure.
- Complete and sign the document, then click 'Submit' to conclude the signing process.
- Once the signing process has been concluded, enter the OTP to authenticate the signing process then tick 'Signed in each other's presence' and click 'verify and sign'.
- Once the document has been signed and verified, the completion confirmation will be sent as normal.
In-person signing where only the first signer is signing in person

- Hand your device to the signer.
- Have them complete and sign the document, then click 'Submit' to conclude the signing process.
- Once the signing process has been concluded, they must enter their OTP to authenticate the signing process then tick 'Signed in each other's presence' and click 'verify and sign'.
- Once the document has been signed and verified, take back your device and click 'Send for signatures' to send a signature request email to the next signer.
In-person signing where any signer but the first, is signing in person
- Create your document and click 'Request Signatures' at the end of your setup.
- Once the first / preceding signer has completed signing and the next person needing to sign wants to do it in person, click on the dropdown next to 'Actions' (next to the person needing to sign) then click on 'Sign in-person'.
- 'Sign in-person' will only be available for the person whose turn it is to sign the document.
- Click 'Sign Now' next to their name.
